The power of intention
Updated: Jul 23, 2021
The intention we put into our actions and interactions is powerful in supporting the results we achieve in both our work and personal relationships.
Are we showing up with love, understanding and kindness for all we encounter? Are we putting the best into our work efforts and how we collaborate with our colleagues, customers or clients? What is the intention behind our communications, verbal and written?

Whether you are going into an interview, leading a meeting, communicating a redundancy, mediating a difficult situation or working on a work document or project, take a moment to check in with yourself to see what intention are you bringing to your work or interactions?
Are you turning up with awareness and presence? Are you bringing your best self into the situation? What outcome are you focused on win/win? If you are creating something for a customer, are you thinking about their experience of the product or service you are creating and how it's going to make them feel? Living each moment, task and interaction with good intentions not only makes you feel good but others too.
To live intentionally start each day with an intention. Make it personal and ensure it is aligned with your values and goals. For example, "my intention today is to see the good in everyone". It's amazing when you have that as your intention that you bring a different energy to all your interactions, even with that co-worker who you don't always see eye to eye with, your interaction might take on a different outcome if you bring that intention to it?
Try it out and see for yourself!
